Broadcastpast, LLC is a full-service audio/video production and communications company that was founded in 2007 by veteran broadcast journalist and producer/director David Mendel. Broadcastpast produces a variety of original programming for broadcast, entertainment and educational applications. It also provides social media support, public relations and crisis communications services and more. Current productions include:
- Time Rewind: A one-minute daily history/pop culture feature broadcast on radio stations and used as a digital media learning tool and morning announcement content at schools across the United States. The show currently has a following of nearly 50,000 on TikTok and several thousand on our other social media platforms. Time Rewind was originally conceived as a longer-format program called Broadcastpast that lends itself to multiple sponsorship opportunities. A Broadcastpast demo is available below. - Time Rewind Reporter’s Journal: A weekly podcast exploring how journalists cover major breaking news. Episodes also provide analyses of topical issues, including Covid vaccination and other health-related matters, police brutality, racial inequities and the 2021 U.S. Capitol attack.
- Reiny Dae Adventures: A docuseries released in November 2023 that profiles health advocate and adventurer Rein Barlow, who, at 28—during a global pandemic and despite suffering a variety of chronic illnesses—hiked 24 miles of the Grand Canyon in 23 hours, achieving a lifelong dream. Her ongoing adventures are designed to inspire and empower others with chronic illness to find unique and manageable ways to enjoy the outdoors.
